OEKO-TEX certification steps

1. The applicant submits the application form and test samples to the issuing agency;

2. The laboratory tests the samples based on standard requirements (testing generally takes 3-4 weeks);

3. The agency issues a test report and the customer submits a declaration of conformity;

4. After the test is passed, the agency will issue a certificate to the applicant;

5. Within 6 months after the certificate is issued, the auditor will conduct an on-site return visit to the applicant. The on-site audit will be conducted every 3 years.

Note: A. The certificate is valid for one year and needs to be renewed when it expires.

B. If the product passes the test, the certificate and test report will be issued; if the test fails, the company will be required to correct the production process or the raw materials, dyes or additives used, and then submit the improved samples for retesting; the test is only conducted on the unqualified items of the unqualified samples, and the certificate will not be issued until all the test items of all samples meet the standards. C. Only raw materials, dyes and additives from declared (i.e. tested) suppliers can use the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certificate and label. If the company uses them beyond the scope, all consequences will be borne by the company.
