SALEEM: Saudi Product Safety Program, SALEEM program ensures that products entering Saudi Arabia meet the highest level of safety standards, thereby protecting consumers' personal safety, protecting the environment, and saving energy. The Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO) decided to implement the Saudi Product Conformity Assessment Certification Program (SALEEM) project from April 1, 2018, which will also replace the current "KSA Conformity Certification Program".

Saber is actually part of Saudi Arabia's new certification system SALEEM, which is Saudi Arabia's unified certification platform. According to the requirements of the Saudi government, the Saber system will gradually replace the original SASO certification, and all regulated products will complete the product certification through the Saber system. SABER is an online certification platform that was officially launched on January 1, 2019, helping local suppliers and factories to register the required certificates for imported or locally manufactured consumer electronics to enter the Saudi market. The platform also aims to improve the level of safety products in the Saudi market.

When applying through the SABER system, the basic information that needs to be submitted is as follows:

Certification Process

The Saber certification process is divided into two steps, namely the PC product registration certificate and the SC customs clearance certificate. When applying for a PC product registration certificate, you need to designate an accredited organization to complete the product review before you can obtain a PC certificate. For high-risk products, you also need to complete a factory audit. After obtaining the PC certificate, you need to apply for the SC certificate. For products that are not on the control list, there is no need to apply for a PC certificate, you can directly apply for an SC certificate.

Basic process:

first step:

Provide application form, product photos, packaging photos, manufacturer's business license, and make PC draft

Step 2:

PC payment code is sent to the foreign importer, who pays 575 Saudi rupees and issues the original PC

third step:

Provide packing list invoice for SC

the fourth step:

SC payment code Foreign importer pays 402.5 Saudi rupees and issues the original SC
