▌Project Introduction

Egypt COC Certification

Egypt's new industrial and trade regulations - CIQ is no longer accepted & 24 products require COC

On December 30, 2015, the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry issued new regulations requiring manufacturers of 24 types of goods exported to Egypt to register with the Egyptian General Authority for Import and Export Control (GOEIC). For manufacturers that have not completed the registration, Egyptian customs will not release their products.

This means that Egypt no longer accepts CIQ, and in addition to textiles, 23 new products have been included in the VOC control scope and require a COC certificate!

The new regulations will come into effect two months after their release (i.e. March 1, 2016).
