According to Decree 327 of the Uganda National Bureau of Standards and customs clearance inspection regulations, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Uganda implements pre-export conformity assessment for products imported into Uganda at the place of origin. The purpose of this program is to reduce the influx of substandard products into Uganda. It was implemented on June 9, 2010. The scope of implementation is to assess whether the controlled products comply with Uganda standards or other standards and technical regulations approved by the Bureau of Standards. Except for products imported from Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi and Rwanda to Uganda, all controlled products need to undergo mandatory assessment. Uganda coc certification is a mandatory certification implemented on December 3, 2012, mainly to ensure product quality, protect public health and environmental protection. Certification is completed in the exporting country when the product is exported, which can also reduce the entry of unsafe and substandard products into Uganda. Before the goods arrive at the customs, just attach the certificate, which greatly reduces the customs clearance time.

Controlled products: Products in the prohibited product catalog and exempted product catalog are not within the scope of control. Products controlled by Uganda's pre-export conformity assessment program include the following categories:

1. Toys

2. Electronic and electrical products

3. Automobile related products (such as automobile glass, starting batteries, tires, etc.)

4. Chemicals

5. Metal materials and gas appliances

6. Textiles, leather, plastics and rubber

7. Furniture

8. Paper and stationery

9. Labor protection products

10. Food
