▌   GOTS Global Organic Textile Standard Certification

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the world's leading organic fiber textile processing standard, covering both environmental and social standards, and has been certified by several textile suppliers as a back-end. Its purpose is to ensure the organic status of textiles, from original harvesting to environmentally and socially responsible production to labeling, to provide reliable guarantees for end consumers. The standard covers the processing, manufacturing, packaging, labeling, trade and distribution of all textiles made of at least 70% certified organic natural fibers.

▌   Certification validity period

GOTS is divided into two types: qualification certificate and sales certificate. The validity period of the qualification certificate is 1 year, and the sales certificate is supervised and reviewed annually as the organic cotton certificate for each batch of products.

▌   GOTS certification requirements

This applies to all enterprises and institutions that have obtained legal institutional status, including but not limited to

1. Certified products contain 70% organic fiber

2. Obtain certification according to recognized international or national standards (EU standards, NOP standards, etc.)

3. Limit the use of fibers in the conversion period

4. The branch needs to be certified according to ISO65 or approved by the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements.
