Starting from September 2019, all products under the control of the Iraq Pre-Import Inspection, Testing and Certification Scheme (ICIGI) must be accompanied by a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) or a Release Note when exported to Iraq. The product certificate of conformity is a document required for customs clearance of goods and is used for customs clearance of goods in Iraq.

The product categories controlled under the Iraq Pre-Import Inspection, Testing and Certification Program (ICIGI) include: toys, electronic and electrical products, vehicles, tires and accessories, building materials, food, cosmetics, personal hygiene products, household hardware, kitchen supplies, chemicals, textiles and footwear, household fuel devices and other products (all metal cans and their metal covers), etc.
