Cote d'Ivoire COC certification
2024-06-12

In order to further protect the interests of importers, consumers, factories and the environment, the Ivory Coast Trade Promotion Agency decided to officially implement the Verification Of Conformity project on July 16, 2018 (based on the date of the transport document) and publish it in local newspapers to inform major importers and relevant departments.

During the implementation of this project, the following controlled products must be exported to Côte d'Ivoire with a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) for smooth customs clearance:

Products involved: Food products

Electrical and electronic products or products of renewable energies

Cosmetics and hygiene products

Building materials

Packaging

Auto spare parts, auto accessories and lubricants

Machinery

Pressure equipment

Personal Protective Equipment

Other products linked to health, safety and environment

Textile

Footwear

Toys

The basic authentication process is as follows:

Route A: Applicable to all exporters shipping sensitive products

Route B (Product Registration): For exporters who regularly ship non-sensitive products

Route C (Product License): Applicable to manufacturers, their authorized distributors or brand owners shipping non-sensitive products

Note: All products must be shipped for the first time via Route A and a certificate (CoC) must be issued for customs clearance.
